The necessary equipment include 6 colors ink-jet printer, 4 rollers A3 size lamination machine and sticker cutting plotter. The 3 machines are all linked with the mobile skin software called 3D DAQIN mobile beauty master, which contains more than 3,000 templates of various mobile phones and over 5,000 background pictures and patterns.
The printer for printing phone skin is ordinary photo printer with CISS system, such as the A3 size Epson 1390 or A4 size Epson R330. 6 colors CISS system can be linked with the ink-jet printer in order to save cost for each printing. Select high resolution on printer parameters can enhance the photo quality.
The sticker paper is special vinyl which can be directly printed by dye ink based ink-jet printer. However, the well-printed paper needs to be laminated with an ultra-thin layer of lamination effect film in order to become waterproof as well as scratch proof, dirt proof and sleet proof. There are dozens of lamination effect can choose from, such as matte, glossy, ice-flower, flash-matte, 3D water drops, leather, gridding, twill...etc.
The lamination machine never need heat up during the sticker lamination process. It’s called “cold lamination”. The roller on the lamination machine must be 4 rollers since it can effectively avoid bubbles while 2 rollers can’t.
For the cutting plotter, DAQIN provide 3 type different sizes optional: A4 and A3 size cutter from DAQIN, and the Bigger one of GRAPHTEC cutting plotter CE6000-40. The blade of the cutter can be replaced after 1 year operation to ensure the best working state. For the mass production of special texture mobile skins, GRAPHTEC cutting plotter CE6000-40 is professional. The max cutting size is 37.5cm wide and 50 meters long (Roll material can be directly cut by the machine). It can manufacture 5 pieces of custom phone skin per minute. Also it can cut laptop skins and tablet skins, such as for Mac Book and iPad Air.
